Empowering Educators: A Recap of the Edu4Impact LTTA Training
We are glad to report the successful conclusion of our latest Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA) under the Edu4Impact project. Over four intense and inspiring days, our consortium gathered to explore the core competencies of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), leaving us better equipped to foster inclusive and supportive environments.
Monday, April 20
Our journey kicked off at the Oxygen Fitness Place, where we focused on the SEL competence of “Responsible Decision Making”, under the guidance of the project coordinator Consorzio Tartaruga. The hospitality of our hosts provided a perfect, welcoming atmosphere for us to dive into the theoretical and practical foundations of this critical skill.
Tuesday, April 21
On the second day, we turned our attention to “Social Awareness and Inclusion.” The session, run by our Spanish partner Sport2Live, encouraged us to reflect on how we can better cultivate empathy, respect, and a genuine sense of belonging within our educational communities, highlighting the vital role of inclusivity in training activities.
Wednesday, April 22
We dedicated the third day to mastering “Relationship Skills.” We were honored to host Professor Giovanni Giacobbe, whose theoretical insights set a high bar for our discussions, followed by an incredibly interesting and engaging practical training session delivered by our partners from Romania, Sorangeli.
Thursday, April 23
On our final day, in the morning, our Greek partners Drosostalida led a powerful session on “Self-Awareness,” which included a collaborative sharing circle and a guided meditation. In the afternoon, we focused on “Self-Management” by connecting SEL with dog training and pet therapy, again guided by the fascinating insights of Professor Giovanni Giacobbe, who provided a memorable hands-on experience to wrap up our training.
The Edu4Impact project continues to grow, fueled by the energy and insights gained during this week. We return to our respective institutions equipped with new tools to champion SEL and create more inclusive spaces for our students
