Call for Participants: Edu4Impact Training in Palermo (20–24 April)
The Edu4Impact project is opening registrations for an international training that will take place in Palermo from 20 to 24 April. The training is designed for sport professionals and adult educators who want to explore how sport can become a powerful educational tool for the social inclusion of vulnerable adults.
Edu4Impact is a European initiative that aims to strengthen the quality and innovation of training in the Adult Education (ADU) sector. The project promotes the integration of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) approaches into sports practice, recognising that physical activity can play a crucial role in developing not only physical abilities, but also emotional, relational, and social competences.
Sport offers a unique environment where participants can experience cooperation, build confidence, manage emotions, and develop meaningful relationships. When these experiences are intentionally designed and facilitated, they can become powerful drivers of personal growth, empowerment, and social inclusion.
What the Training Will Focus On
During the training in Palermo, participants will explore how to integrate SEL methodologies into sports activities, learning practical tools and approaches that can be applied in real educational and training contexts. The programme will provide opportunities to exchange experiences, test practical exercises, and reflect on the role of sport in supporting vulnerable adults.
The training will be particularly relevant for:
- Sport trainers and coaches working with vulnerable adults
- Adult educators interested in using sport-based learning approaches
- Professionals in the third sector involved in education, inclusion, and community development
Through interactive sessions and collaborative learning, participants will gain insights into how sport can be intentionally used to foster emotional awareness, teamwork, resilience, and social participation.
